Shipping policy

U'i Mau A Mau LLC. offers shipping to most countries. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the size/weight of your package and your location. Shipping rates include a $1 flat fee. This flat fee (sometimes called a handling fee) helps to cover the cost of shipping supplies. We also do our best of offset the cost of shipping supplies by repurposing packing materials (ie. newspapers, magazines, paper ads, packing papers, air pillows, etc.). 

SHIPPING DELIVERY DATES ARE ESTIMATES ONLY. These estimates do not include handling time for gathering, checking, or packing your order. Please allow 3-5 business days (Mon. - Fri; excluding holidays) to receive your order's shipping confirmation. Large orders and orders received during holidays or sale promotions may take even longer to fulfill. Sometimes we are able to ship out orders the next business day. But as a general rule, please give us 3 - 5 business days (Mon- Fri; excluding holidays).

IMPORTANT - SHIPPING TO HOTELS or TEMPORARY STAYS IN HAWAI'I
- By placing an order, the customer is assuming any and all risks involved with shipping to an address where the customer's stay is temporary. From here on any reference to a "hotel" will also include all addresses where the customer's stay is temporary. For these purposes, the term "temporary" means a timeline of less than 30 business days from the date the order is placed.
- We recommend placing an order at least 10 - 14 business days (M- F; excluding holidays) PRIOR TO ARRIVAL in Hawai'i. 
- Once you have placed your order, please e-mail us your order confirmation and  the dates you will be on the island ASAP. 
- It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure the hotel is willing and able to accept the package(s) on the customer's behalf.
- Due to past incidents, it is necessary to take all precautions when shipping to a hotel. This may result in a shipping balance owed for signature confirmation and extra shipping insurance fees. For large orders, multiple boxes or a larger box than the default box the system uses may result in extra shipping costs. The shipping balance must be paid prior to shipping out the order. 
- The shipping insurance only applies if USPS fails to deliver the package(s). It does not apply for delayed delivery. The estimated shipping time given by USPS during the checkout process is only an estimate; not a guarantee. The USPS shipping time is separate from our processing time of 7 - 10 business days.
- Once delivery is confirmed, USPS is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. U'i Mau A Mau LLC. is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. If the package(s) are lost or stolen after delivery is confirmed, NO REFUND will be issued.
- If delivery is delayed and the hotel accepts the package(s), regardless if the customer has already checked out of the hotel, NO REFUND will be issued unless the package(s) are returned to U'i Mau A Mau LLC. It is the responsibility of the customer to communicate with the hotel to arrange for the return of goods. 
- The returned package(s) must not have been tampered with or opened to receive the full refund minus the original shipping cost and minus the restocking fee of 25% of the purchase price. If the package(s) have been opened or tampered with, a refund will be subject to a full and thorough inspection. Refunds issued after the necessary inspection will still have the original shipping cost and the restocking fee of 25% of the purchase price subtracted. 

If you need changes made to your order, please CONTACT US as soon as possible. Changes includes additions, removals, complete order cancellations, etc. As long as we have not processed the shipping label for your order, we should be able to make any requested adjustments. Once the shipping label has been processed and we still have possession of the package(s), we will only be able to cancel your entire order and issue a refund. 

All orders are shipped FOB. Once your order has left our facility, we are unable to take responsibility for your package. U'i Mau A Mau LLC. is not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen packages. Please choose a secure address to receive your orders. Please understand that we have no control over how packages are handled after being picked up from our facility. In the event you are unable to locate your delivery, please contact the carrier first. They would be in the best position to help track down your package. Should you receive a product that is damaged upon arrival please send us an email with photos of the packaging and product to UiMauAMauOrders@gmail.com.

*Please note all taxes, importation fees, duties, and customs charges imposed by your local government and/or mail service are not controlled by U'i Mau A Mau LLC. We are not responsible for the aforementioned fees, and such fees shall be paid by the customer. Please be advised you may have to pay taxes/duties/fees on order you import to your country and you may be required to furnish special permission to do so. All documentation required are of the sole responsibility of the customer. Any packages returned due to failure to pay, inability to accept due to lack of required documents, or refusal will be assessed for completeness and damages. If the returned goods have not been tampered with and are in good resellable condition, your order will be refunded for the purchase price less the original shipping cost, restocking fees, and return fees imposed by the carrier. In the event, the order/package is lost due any of the aforementioned failures, U'i Mau A Mau LLC. reserves the right to delay or deny any refunds/reimbursements until we are in possession of the returned goods.
